Overview

jimmysong.io is a personal technical website maintained by Jimmy Song ([email protected]). This page explains what information is collected when you visit and the third-party services in use. This site does not operate a user account system and does not ask you to submit personal information beyond what you choose to share.

  • Server logs: The hosting provider may record standard request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained only as needed for operations.
  • Data you provide voluntarily: If you subscribe to the newsletter or leave a comment, the email address and comment content you enter are handled by the third-party services listed below.

Third-Party Services

This site uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data they collect:

  • Google Analytics: Collects only essential, aggregated visit information (such as page views, approximate region, device type, and referral source) to understand how content is used and to improve the site. IP anonymization is enabled. Data is processed by Google under its Privacy Policy. No ad personalization or cross-site tracking is performed.
  • Giscus: Comments are powered by Giscus, which uses GitHub. Comment data is stored in GitHub Discussions associated with the repository. See the Giscus Privacy Policy and GitHub Privacy Statement.

Cookies
